Much of What We Do At Archer Ball is Red Teaming

What is Red Teaming?

The Red Team Journal provide a definition, which covers the Archer Ball approach based on the concept analysis approach.

Briefly, concept analysis includes three main elements:
An attribute of red teaming is that it involves an opponent’s perspective.
An illustrative example might be a cybersecurity penetration test.
while a non-illustrative example might be a security audit checklist.

Red teaming is not necessarily limited to issues of security, but covers all areas of risk management.

More About Red Teaming & Mass Gathering Analysis

We approach Red Teaming, in regards to Mass Gathering analysis of places such as supermarkets, transport and shoping zones, identifying three factors that need to be solved:

  • These are environments where a potentially lethal attack can be initiated.
  • Attacks are unpredictable, and involve deception; and are simultaneous.
  • We need to overcome the problem of how to identify the risks.
